A cookie is a text file used by websites on your IT equipment, such as computer, tablet and smartphone. The purpose of a cookie is to make the user experience of the website better and more efficient.

Virtually all websites today use cookies, and the use of cookies is in many cases necessary to provide correct service on the website.

A cookie is a passive file that cannot collect the information that is on your computer or spread computer viruses and other malicious programs.

Some cookies are only stored on your IT equipment as long as you have your browser open, so-called session cookies. Other cookies are stored on your IT equipment for a longer period of time, so-called persistent / persistent cookies. When you return to a website, the cookie is renewed automatically.

Cookies are often stored by parties other than the owner of the website (third-party cookies). These can be cookies with ordinary content but also analysis tools and embedded comment fields.

It depends on your browser how you delete or avoid cookies being placed on your IT equipment.  If you use a PC, you can delete cookies by using the shortcut keys [CTRL] + [SHIFT] + [Delete] when you are in the browser. If this does not work or you are using a Mac for example, you can follow these links depending on the browser you are using:

Functional

Functional cookies provide the opportunity to improve the functionality and personalization of a website. We collect information about your favorite settings and choices on the website. We do this to be able to show you the version of the website that suits your preferences. The information is used to determine which region and language you prefer, to display videos and other visual elements on the website, e.g. job search.

Statistical

Statistics cookies help website owners understand how visitors interact with websites by collecting and reporting information anonymously.

Marketing

Marketing cookies are used to track visitors across websites. The intention is to show ads that are relevant and engaging to the individual user, and thus more valuable to publishers and third-party advertisers.

Preferences

Preference cookies allow a website to remember information that changes the way a website looks or behaves. Eg. your preferred language, or the region you are in.

Unclassified

Unclassified cookies are cookies that we are in the process of classifying together with the providers of the individual cookies.

You are welcome to contact us at kontakt@vfhk.dk if you have questions about cookies.
