Vision and purpose

We work for equal treatment options for patients with skin cancer and share the latest research and knowledge with both patients and professionals.
Our vision is to create the foundation for equal skin cancer treatment throughout Denmark. We also work for a paradigm shift in patient management and other at-risk groups.

Our purpose

The purpose of the research center involves four different areas: 

  • Research in risk factors, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of skin cancer.
  • Share new findings and knowledge throughout Denmark and beyond.
  • Educate on the use of research data through guidance to both professionals and patients.
  • Increase awareness of skin cancer in Denmark through the center’s research results.

Our ambition

The ambition of this website is to ensure a fast and effective distribution of new research, and knowledge about:

  • People at risk of developing skin cancer.
  • Prevention measures against the harmful effects of the sun on the skin.
  • Accurate and rapid diagnosis of sun damage, including skin cancer.
  • Rapid treatment of patients with skin cancer, including specialist treatments.
  • Future preventive treatment against sun damage.
  • Future effective and gentle treatment of skin cancer.
  • Valuable educational programs for skin cancer patients and at-risk groups.

Our target groups

This website’s target groups include individuals suffering from sun damage and all types of skin cancer, as well as physicians and researchers.
