My research focuses on the development of new imaging tools which use light-tissue interactions to improve diagnostic imaging. I mainly work with optical coherence tomography (OCT), which non-invasively generates cross-sectional images of tissue, i.e., an optical biopsy. I am interested in new hardware and software solutions to improve the performance of OCT devices for deeper imaging. Additionally, I am interested in developing tools for automated quantitative analysis of images to support diagnostics and therapy management.
