Current research
For years I have been researching improving the treatment of pre-stage skin cancer by combining laser treatment and photodynamic therapy in organ transplant patients who have an increased risk of skin cancer. I have also researched early prevention of precursors to skin cancer and have worked on methods that can measure the degree of sun damage in the skin and potentially identify high risk skin cancer patients.
Main interests
- Keratinocyte skin cancer in organ transplant recipients
- Noninvasive measurement of photodamage
- Photodynamic therapy
- Laser-assisted drug delivery
Short description
I have been working as a practicing dermatologist in Bagsværd since 2022. My role at the Danish Research Center for Skin Cancer is mainly to recruit patients for trials and convey new knowledge about skin cancer treatment.
Doctoral dissertation
