Postdoc Fernanda Pinto and PhD student Lauritz Brorsen affiliated with The Danish Research Centre for Skin Cancer Center made poster presentations that showed our latest results with mass spec imaging.

The research results show differences between the fats in healthy cells and skin cancer cells, which can eventually be used for new forms of diagnostics and treatment.

Associate professor Catharina Lerche gave a lecture on her new method for measuring DNA damage in urine. When we get skin damage from the sun, it is mostly repaired and excreted in the urine.

Our research is supported by the Lundbeck Foundation and the Danish Cancer Society.

IMSC 2022 was held on August 27th – September 2th in Maastricht, the Netherlands.
