Current research
During my PhD I investigated the tumorenvironment in BCC. Additionally, I have done epidemiological studies on the incidence of keratinocyte carcinoma and malignant melanoma in hematopoietic stem cell transplant recipients and persons living with HIV. In my current research I focus on the immune activating abilities of combining laser treatment and local immunotherapy as a new potential treatment modality for keratinocyte carcinoma.
