PhD studies at the Department of Dermatology supported by Innovation Fund Denmark culminate in an excellent defense
Friday September 16th a unanimous review committee approved Vinzent Kevin Ortner's defense of his PhD thesis 'Novel Approaches to Psoriatic Nail Disease' on laser-assisted drug delivery, non-invasive optical imaging techniques and remote monitoring for nail psoriasis.
The defense concludes the PhD studies at the University of Copenhagen and the dermatology department at Bispebjerg Hospital in collaboration with Leo Pharma A/S.
The thesis is an industrial PhD supported by Innovation Fund Denmark.
The assessment committee members were Professor Claus Zachariae (DK), Professor Marco Ardigo (Italy) and Professor Peter Bjerring (DK).
Professor Merete Hædersdal was principal supervisor, Senior Researcher Peter Alshede Philipsen primary co-supervisor and from Leo Pharma A/S Kresten Skak and Witte Rush Koopmann Jr. were industrial co-supervisors.
