New PhD: How Large Is the Societal Burden of the Most Common Type of Skin Cancer?
Johan Sieborg describes his work like this:
“I have investigated the prevalence of keratinocyte carcinoma (KC) both at the national and regional levels. This has helped provide insight into the societal burden of KC and its most common subtypes (nodular basal cell carcinoma, superficial basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and Bowen’s disease). In addition, I have researched the relationship between prevalence and tumor size in connection with various socioeconomic factors and the distance to dermatology clinics. Finally, I have analyzed the most common treatment methods and recurrence rates in order to compare the treatments".
Johan Sieborg has published several international articles during his Ph.D. During his project, Johan Sieborg was supervised by Merete Hædersdal and Alexander Egeberg, with Emily Wenande and Ulrikke Lei serving as co-supervisors.
